    News and Events:

    -The Test-Out application for the August session is now available.  You can sign up by clicking the application link: Test-Out Form-August 13, 2024. Hard copies can also be found in the Back Office (A16).  All applications are due by the end of the school day on Friday, 5/17.

    -May 22nd is Senior Decision Day! Counseling will be hosting a celebration in part of the cafeteria with treats and giveaways for seniors. Wear something that demonstrates your next steps after graduation!

    -Seniors who've filled out a FAFSA: don't forget to stop by counseling with a confirmation and pick out a gift! If you or your family needs help filling out a FAFSA, schedule an appointment with Ms. Farina.

    -Seniors: Blake Williams, former BHS graduate, will be here representing Lansing Community College on Wednesday, May 22nd during 4th hour to meet with seniors who are undecided on their college/ career plans after graduation and share the opportunities that Lansing Community College has, especially at our Livingston Center located in Howell.  This is an awesome opportunity to sit and listen to secondary options that are right in our backyard!!!  If you are interested in this presentation from Blake, please sign up in counseling ASAP!

    -Attention all Juniors and Seniors, prom tickets are once again being sold at all lunches on Friday….ONLY. You can pay with either cash or a check made out to Brighton High School. If you purchased a ticket online, you MUST pick up your ticket from the ticket tables at lunch!  You will not be able to enter prom without a physical ticket! This is the very last chance you can purchase and pick up your tickets!! If you are planning on bringing a non-BHS student, guest passes are available in the Main Office or Back Office and MUST be turned in by Friday, May 24th, by 2:30 to the Main Office. 

    -Team Teal is holding Amped Up this evening at the Brighton Amphitheater at 6:00. They’re bringing you performances from drumline, jazz band, A Capella groups, the Jumpin’ Allstars, and more. Come on down to the Amp for a great evening of music and fun!
     
    -Sometimes life can get overwhelming, and we need some extra help and support.  This is when it's important to ask for help from a friend, your parents, a teacher, or someone in the counseling office.  Take that step and reach out.  We are here for you.  Your mental health will thank you for it
     
    -The Brighton High School Color Guard will be hosting two clinics for the 2024 Marching Band Season on 5/22 and 5/28 in the BHS Band Room. All 8th-11th graders are welcome to attend and learn how to spin a flag and meet new friends! Auditions will be held on Thursday, 5/30 from 3:30-5:30 in the BHS Band Room. Reach out to the color guard instructor, Lauren Crowder, with any questions at lmatson96@gmail.com.

    -Reminder to all BHS students. Spring sports are entering the MHSAA tournament this coming week. Your Brighton sports pass is not valid for MHSAA tournaments. 
    Tournament tickets are all on Go Fan and start at $7.00 and increase each round of the tournament.
     
    -End of Year Medication Pick-Up: Student medication(s) must be picked up by dismissal time on June 12th. Controlled medication(s) must be picked up by a parent/guardian on file.  Any medication not picked up will be discarded.
