HEALTHY SNACK
-
EATING A HEALTHY SNACK IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF YOUR CHILD'S DAY!
In Kindergarten children are using lots of energy to learn the wonderful new skills that they will use for their lifetime. It is important that children have adequate nutrition throughout their day to keep their bodies energized for optimal learning and brain development. As a part of our health curriculum, I will be working hard to teach the children how to make healthy choices. The kindergarteners will be taking a 15-20 minute healthy snack break every day. Please provide your child with a fruit, vegetable, or dairy snack every day. I will keep healthy snack donations on hand from any families willing to help out for children that have forgotten their snack.
Snack choices could include:
Fruits~ apples, bananas, strawberries, applesauce, blueberries, grapes, kiwi, pineapple, peaches, plums, star fruit, mangos, papaya...ect
